GLOSSARY
Here at last is the definitive glossary of all the major characters, places, artifacts', etc. which have appeared in the lyrics of our albums. The letters in brackets after each entry denote which . particular album or albums the entry appears in. I hope this glossary will prove enlightening to the great many people who have written to me over the years with queries concerning the stories I have written and the fantasy worlds in which they are set.

ALTARUS THE TRAVELLER (SB, BM):
A wizard/shaman who is able to traverse the space-time continuum at will and observe cataclysmic events throughout history. The teacher of Xerxes.
ANGSAAR, LORD (ABM, SB, BM):
The Dark Liege of Chaos; an immortal sorcerer of awesome malevolent potency, twisted by dreams of galactic domination and vengeance. Also known as The Scourge of Lemuria, the Bane. of the Atlantean Kings, and the Arch-foe of the Immortals of Ultima Thule.
AN-RAYUTH, SIGIL OF (SB):
The mystic sigil which appears in the woods of Darkenhold to summon the sylvan protectors and the Forest-King to battle whenever the arboreal realm is threatened.
ARCH-WRAITH, THE (BM):
A fearsome winged shade of bestial disposition. The chief fiend and majordomo of Lord Angsaar.
ASTRAL GATE, THE (SB):
An interdimensional aperture which may only be opened by the correct arcane incantation and utilization of the alien key known as the Orb of Summoning. Use of the key invokes the cosmic sentinels known as the Guardians of the Astral Gate, who will take the key-holder wherever he/she wishes to go in the multiverse, but at a terrible price.
ATLANTIS (ABM, SB, BM):
[In myth & legendary an ancient lost continent believed to have been the seat of an advanced civilization.] A powerful empire, and the home of many great warrior-kings and skilled sorcerers. By travelling forward to the future, Altarus the Traveler witnessed the destruction of Atlantis by terrible forces from Z'xulth, the infernal realm also known as the Outer Darkness.
AZAIMEDES (SB):
A legendary wizard and oracle who perfected the art of mystical interspatial transference, and who once possessed the Orb of Summoning. A shrine was built to honor his memory, where the Orb was kept hidden for many centuries.
A'ZURA-KAI, SHRINE OF (BM):
An. ancient citadel and place of great magical power. The shrine was built by the demi-god A'zura-Kai upon the place where a warship of the Galactic Confederation of Mera crash-landed thousands of years before recorded history began. @e site was the battlefield upon which the armies of the Hyperborean King engaged the hordes of Lord Angsaar.

BAALTHUS.VANE (SB):
Famed and undefeated supreme commander of the elite Legion of the Ebon Tiger, finest fighting force in all the Imperium.
BLACK GALAXY, THE (SB):
A terrible and infernal area of space thousands of light-years distant from the earth which phases in and out of the space-time continuum at sporadic intervals. It is inhabited by all manner of hideous and malign entities, and is the breeding ground of the Dwellers In Eternal Shadow.
BLACKHELM VALE (SB, BM):
A grim valley which is the only passage through the great Eastern mountain-range into the rugged tribal lands ruled by the barbarian king, Caylen-Tor. The valley is also known as The Gate to the Northlands, and was the site of an epic battle between the tribesmen of Caylen-Tor and the legions of Mytos K'unn.,
BLACK PYRAMID, THE (ABM, SB):
An ancient ebon pyramid built by extraterrestrials to serve as a receptacle of cosmic power and a mortal for travelling between dimensions. The hideous and monstrous results of failed alien genetic experiments still dwell in vaults beneath the pyramid.
BLACK TEMPLARS, THE (SB):
A band of mercenary knights from the Eastern Lands who destroyed the Shrine of Azaimedes and seized the Orb of Summoning. The eldritch power of the Orb was reputed to have driven the knights slowly mad, resulting in their grisly deaths, and the Orb becoming lost once more.
BOOKS OF THE FIRST CATACLYSM, THE (SB):
Ancient and shunned books containing infernal rites and cosmic spells of such power that few humans can even read them without losing their grip on sanity.
BROTHERHOOD OF DARK ELUCIDATION, THE (SB):
A shadowy cult of mages who act as the keepers of the blasphemous Books of the First Cataclysm. They discovered the ancient Tome of Shadows and foolishly performed the arcane rites which they had read within its pages, unwittingly summoning the Dwellers in Eternal Shadow, who then proceeded to absorb the life-force of every living thing within the walls of the crystalline city Kor-Avul-Thaa.

CALEB BLACKTHORNE (BM) :
The captain of an English war-ship during the time of the Spanish Armada. Blackthorne is actually the son of the cosmic entity known as the Scion of the Storms, and is the current incarnation of a man cursed by a vengeful witch, (his mother), to re-incarnate endlessly throughout history and continuously die in battle for -all eternity until either he or his father find a way to break the curse- and end the cycle of death and rebirth.
CALLISTO (TPC):
A moon of Jupiter where one of the fragments of the Empyreal Lexicon was hidden
CAVERNS OF ETERNAL MIST, THE (SB):
The primeval ice caves in Ultima Thule which are the gateway to the ancient halls of the IceVeiled Throne. The Caverns are guarded by the titanic crystalline sentinels who allow none but the rightful kings of Ultima Thule to enter the chambers.
CAYLEN-TOR (SB, BM):
The king of all the Northern Tribes, Cavlen-Tor is a warrior without equal. He single-handedly united all the warring tribes of his homeland into a single powerful kingdom, vowing to repel all foreign foes who would dare invade his sacred tribal territories. Also know as the Wolf of the North, Caylen-Tor led his forces into battle against the invading forces of Mytos K'unn at the Battle of Blackhelm Vale.
CHILDREN OF THE TELLURIC NEXUS (TPC):
Earth dwelling progeny possessed of potent telekinetic powers, the ascent and ultimate destruction of whom was foretold in the Thirteen Cryptical Prophecies during the Cataclysm of Mu.
CITADEL OF FROSTS, THE (ABM):
A shrine of ancient origin which acts as a portal between-dimensions and multiplies tenfold the effectiveness of spellcraft practiced within its con-veiled walls.
CITADEL OF THE OBSIDIAN CROWN, THE (SB):
A fortified citadel built to house the ancient artifact known as the Obsidian Crown,, a black circlet once worn by the legendary Shadow-King. The Crown was. an object of incredible arcane might, and the wizards of Vyrgothia warned that if the Imperium marched against the fortress of Gul-Kothoth, then the Crown's power would be unleashed against the foe.
CRYSTAL MOUNTAINS, THE (SB):
A mountain-range composed of a wondrous gleaming rock, large fragments of which were used to build the crystalline walls of the legendary city Kor-Avul-Thaa.
CRYSTAL OF MERA, THE (SB, BM):
The ninth jewel of the Galactic Confederation of Mera, a gemstone which combines awesome sorcerous powers with ultra-sophisticated micro-technology. The ninth jewel was the most powerful of all the gems, capable of decimating entire planets if it was misused, and was sought after by the dreaded Lord Angsaar, who wished to corrupt its power to ascend to the status of a demi-god.

DARKENHOLD, THE FOREST OF (SB):
A vast forest in the northern lands covering hundreds of thousands of square miles. The primeval woodland is a place of immense magical power, peopled by all manner of sylvan entities and. arboreal beings, and is ruled over by the mystical liege known as the Forest King.
DELANIA (SB):
A proud kingdom to the west of Mytos K'unn, which was brutally conquered and annexed by the forces of Zyrashana the Witch-Queen.
DWELLERS IN ETERNAL SHADOW, THE (SB):
Hideously malevolent cosmic entities which reside within the dreaded Black Galaxy. They were liberated by the meddling of human sorcerers and devoured the city of Kor-Avul-Thaa.

EMPYREAL LEXICON, THE (TPC):
A codex of alien origin containing arcane words and psionic waves of power which were the keys to unlock a network of transferrence portals linking the myriad galaxies of the multiverse and also the means to transcend the boundaries of space and time and journey between dimensions and planes of existence. A great alien war was waged over its possession.

FEN-WRYCHES OF THE GREAT MERE,THE (SB):
A coven of powerful witches who were called upon for aid by Caylen-Tor in his attempt to repel the invasion force of Mytos K'unn,
FIEND'S BANE (BM):
The ensorcelled black katana wielded by Joachim Blokk the Vampyre Hunter.
FIRST CATACLYSM, THE (SB):
The great catastrophe which tilted the world on its axis before the beginnings of recorded history and annihilated much of the, advanced civilization which existed on the planet.
FOREST-KING, THE (SB):
The sylvan liege of Darkenhold who is sworn to protect, the forest realm from the encroachment of invading powers and the delusions of foreign religions. He rules with the wise counsel of the Wood-Wizard and the Sylvan Oracle, and wields the indestructible Adamantine Hammer.

GALACMC CONFEDERATION OF MERA, THE (BM):
An ancient and vast pangalactic empire which rules a considerable area of the known universe; The techno-mages of the Confederation created the mystic Crystals of Mera.
GALACTIC NEXUS, THE (SB, BM):
A vast convergence of cosmic powers occurring only once every twelve, millennia, the energies of which can be harnessed by the correct sorcerous means in order to bestow near omnipotent powers upon the aspirant.
GATE-TO-THAT-WHICH-LIES-BEYOND, THE (SB):
Another name for the Astral Gate, particularly that facet of it which leads to the dreaded Outer Darkness..
GUL-KOR (SB, BM):
One of the sidereal sentinels known as the Guardians of the Astral Gate. He is often called upon to grant power and enlightenment, but the price he exacts for such is very high indeed.
GUL-KOT-HOTH (SB):
The most impregnable fortress in all the Vyrgothian Kingdoms. Its stone walls stand one hundred and fifty feet high and are twenty feet thick. It is the. last line. of defense an invading army must breach before they have access to the Inner Kingdom of Vyrgothia. The Imperium marched against it and lay siege during the Great Wars.

HYPERBOREA (SB, BM):
{In myth & legendry, the fabled land beyond the north winds.} The most powerful kingdom in all the northern continent, seat of a vast empire and ancestral foe of Atlantis. Ruled over by the brooding Hyperborean King.
HYPERBOREAN EMPIRE, THE (SB, BM):
The name used to describe the military dominions and colonies founded by the Hyperboreans.
HYPERBOREAN KING, THE (SB, BM):
The enigmatic and brooding liege of the Hyperborean Empire. Wielder of the Shadow-Sword, he fought a tremendous battle against the dire Horde of Wraiths marshaled, by the evil Lord Angsaar.

ICE-GODS, THE (SB):
Progenitors of the kings of Ultima Thule and crafters of the legendary' Ice-Veiled Throne.
ICE-VEH,ED THRONE OF ULTIMA THULE, THE (SB):
The high seat of sorcerous power in Ultima Thule. Lost to mankind for centuries, only the true High Kings of Ultima Thule may sit upon the throne.. Once a king is accepted by the magical safeguards which surround the throne, he gives-up his corporeal mortality forever and becomes an omnipotent being of ultimate knowledge, residing in all planes of existence and spheres of consciousness simultaneously.
IMPERIUM, THE (SB):
Largest empire in the southern continent and ancestral foe of Vyrgothia. Ruled over by the Emperor Koord, the Imperium's forces are undefeated in battle and are famed throughout the world.
ISLE OF MISTS, THE (SB):
Fabled island believed to lie somewhere off the icy coasts of northern Hyperborea. Legends say that whoever sails successfully to the island will be rewarded with incredible wisdom and power, discovering the answers to the mysteries of the universe. The Northern Mariner attempted the voyage to the Isle of Mists.

JOACHIM BLOKK (BM):
A vengeful adventurer and swordsman, the deadliest Vampyre hunter in the world. Driven by his all consuming desire for revenge, he wields the ensorcelled katana Fiend's Bane in his crusade against all vampyric entities.

KA-KUR-RA (SB):
One of the fearsome Guardians of the Astral Gate.
KAI-VORG (SB):
A vast area of grassland in the Vyrgothian Kingdoms, the site of a tremendous victory by the Imperium's Forces during the Great Wars.
KHTHON, THE EYE OF (BM):
A mystical gemstone believed to have once been the eye of the crystalline dragon Khthon.
KLATRYMADON (SB):
One of the gods of cosmic prescience and wisdom worshipped by the Brotherhood of Dark Elucidation.
KOORD, EMPEROR (SB):
Supreme ruler of all the vast Imperium.
KOR-AVUL-THAA (SB):
A wondrous city built of sparkling crystalline rock and ruled by a benevolent king. Kor-Avul-Thaa was the most celebrated city in the land, attracting mystified and bedazzled visitors from all over the world. Lamentably, a group of sorcerers called the-Brotherhood of Dark Elucidation foolishly opened a vortex above the city, unleashing fiends from the Outer Darkness which devoured all life within its walls. Kor-Avul-Thaa is now a shunned and blighted place which has been renamed the City of Shadows.
KUR'OC (SB, BM):
One of the most powerful of the Guardians of the Astral Gate, the brother of Gul-Kor.

LEGION OF THE EBON TIGER, THE (SB):
The most feared elite fighting force in the southern continent. Undefeated, the Legion consists of six thousand elite infantry, twelve units of heavy cavalry and charioteers, and its bolstering force of one hundred thousand spearmen and archers of the Imperial Frontier Army. The Legion is commanded by the famed Baalthus Vane.
LEMURIA (ABM, SB, BM):
{In myth & legendry, a lost continent believed to have existed in pre-history. A huge land of many warring kingdoms which was eventually united into a tenuous alliance by the dark art of a cult of sorcerers connected to the Brotherhood of Dark Elucidation. The second Tome of Shadows was found by these sorcerers, who unwisely abused its power and brought about a terrible catastrophe which destroyed much of Lemuria.

MARE IMBRIUM, THE (TPC):
The "Sea of Rains" on the surface of the moon, beneath which are imprisoned seven cosmic beings who were defeated during the Wars of the Lexicon. To breach the great lunar seal would be to release the extradimensional entities from their eons-old sleep of incarceration.
MOUNTAIN OF SHADOWS, THE (SB):
A shadow-haunted and feared black mountain, the summit of which is believed to be where the Astral Gate manifests via some manner of cosmic power magnification device built into the peak of the mountain by ancient star-faring entities. The Orb of Summoning is the activator for the transferal portal mechanism.
MOUNTAINS OF THE DEAD, THE (SB, BM):
A vast mountain range believed to be cursed by ancient Chaos Entities. The tallest of the mountains was the resting place of the fabled Shadow-Sword recovered by the King of Hyperborea.
MU (TPC):
{In myth & legendry, an ancient lost civilization.} The once powerful land whose mages transcribed the Thirteen Cryptical Prophecies which told of the planet's history from its origins to its eventual destruction. Mu was utterly destroyed by the machinations of fiendish sorcerers and the onslaught of the Chaos-Warrior Zurra.
MYTOS K'UNN (SB):
A powerful kingdom in the eastern part of the continent, the throne of which was usurped by the Witch-Queen Zyrashana.N
O
OBSIDIAN CROWN, THE (SB):
A circlet forged from strange extraterrestrial metals which is able to magnify the mental commands of its wearer and project fields of incredibly destructive psionic energy It was once owned by the fabled Shadow-King, and for centuries has been kept in a shielded vault deep beneath its black citadel in the Vyrgothian Kingdoms. Its power can only be utilized with the correct initiation procedure and arcane rites.
OGRE-MAGE OF THE BLACK LAKE, THE (SB):
An ancient and malign ogre shaman of great sorcerous skill, coerced into aiding the Imperium during the Great Wars.
OMEGA PHALANX (BM):
The favored fighting formation utilized by the Hyperborean Infantry on the battlefield, against which enemy forces have precious little means of defense.
ORACLE OF WAR, THE (BM):
A powerful war-spirit and battle-entity often called upon by warriors wishing to know their fortunes and destinies in battle. The Oracle is notoriously vitriolic and does not part with such information without exacting a considerable price from the querent.
OPHIDIAN KING, THE (SB):
The most powerful of all the legendary Serpent Kings. In battle he. commands the terrifying beasts called the Black Dragons.
ORDER OF KLIAA, THE (SB):
A fellowship of benevolent sorcerers who seek to keep at bay the hideous forces of darkness, and keep hidden the '.arcane rites by which to summon or liberate them. They burned the-blasphemous-and deadly Scrolls of the Third Circle in an attempt to keep their infernal contents unknown to mankind.
OUTER DARKNESS, THE (ABM, SB, BM):

PRAESIDIUM OF YS, THE (BM):
The defended stronghold of Ys which is protected by a magical energy field and within which a fellowship of sorcerers safeguard arcane knowledge from those who would abuse its power. Their chief adversary is an insane demi-god who craves the knowledge they protect , in his continuing bid to rule the multiverse and win the love of a sylph who has enchanted him.
PSIONIC EPSILON MATRIX, THE (BM):
The galactic network of cosmic power and telepathic pathways which permeate the universe and allow the transference of extra-dimensional energies. The non-technological elements of the Crystals of Mera were formed within the Matrix and remain the only keys which can now enable access to its inner core.Q

RED-TOOTH (BM):
A sorcerous dwarf-forged sword which can only be wielded by a warrior chosen by the Oracle of War to do the bidding of the Gods and fulfil his star-wrought destiny.S
SAGE DAELUN (SB):
A wandering wise-man who witnessed the destruction of Kor-Avul-Thaa and recorded the disastrous event within his now famous journal.
SCION OF THE STORMS, THE (BM):
A noble demi-god and child of the Great Tempest who rides the fabled Skyborne Steed of Lyonesse, travelling the pathways of time in an attempt to free the trapped soul of his son from t he sorcerous curse of a vengeful witch. [See also...; Caleb Blackthorne],
SCROLLS OF THE THIRD CIRCLE, THE (SB):
Ancient scrolls containing arcane rites and spells to summon terrible fiends and entities of chaos from' beyond the dimensional barriers to the mortal plane of existence. The scrolls were burned by the Order of Kl'aa.
SCROLLS OF VOLMYR, THE (SB):
Ancestral scrolls of the tribes of Ultima Thule which contain much of their history and legends.
SERPENT KINGS, THE (ABM):
Powerful ophidian lieges who once ruled a huge portion of the earth before the First Cataclysm. They built a huge cyclopean shrine to celebrate their supremacy which contained many of their closely guarded secrets and which is now known as the Temple of the Serpent Kings.
SEVENTH FEN-LANDER ARMY, THE (BM):
An elite colonial militia which owes allegiance to the Hyperborean Empire, and which fought in the great battle against Lord Angsaar.
SHADOW-KING, THE (SB):
Ancient and legend-shrouded ruler who once ruled from the Sapphirean Throne and bore the Ophidian Crown upon his brow.
SHADOW-SWORD, THE (SB, BM):
Powerful sorcerous weapon once wielded by an Immortal of Ultima-Thule against Lord Angsaar. During an epic battle, the Immortal managed to drive Angsaar back to his Chamber of Slumber, but was forced to mystic-ally encase his own life essence within the Shadow-Sword to seize victory and avoid destruction. Enshrined within the Mountains of the Dead, the Sword lay hidden for cons until it revealed its location to the Hyperborean King who recovered it and wielded the weapon's power against Angsaar. The Chaos-Liege was vexed to discover 'that his old nemesis was once again attempting to thwart his diseased schemes, this time doing so with the aid of the Royal Scion of Hyperborea.
SILENT CHAMBERS OF THE SAPPIIIREAN THRONE, THE (ABM):
Vast and splendoured regal chambers which contained the legendary Sapphirean Throne, seat of sovereign mastery over much of the world before the First Cataclysm destroyed its dominion. The Chambers are now hidden deep beneath the endless sea.
SKULTHUR (ABM):
One of the champions and warlords of the legendary Serpent Kings.
SKYBORNE STEED OF LYONESSE, THE (BM):
A sorcerous winged charger sired in the ancient land of Lyonesse which is able to fly at such a staggering velocity that it may move at will throughout the space-time continuum.
STAR-LORDS, THE (SB):
Omnipotent cosmic entities who descended to earth long before the First Cataclysm and tampered with the evolution of certain races on the planet, indulging in strange genetic experimentation.
SWORDMASTER OF KYRMAN'KU, THE (SB):
The finest swordsman in the southern continent, an elite duelist and master of combat, -who has-never met his match in battle. He was hired by the Imperium during the wars against the Vyrgothian Kingdoms.
SYLVAN ORACLE, THE (SB):
The mystic oracle of the deep woods who watches over the forest realm and guides the destiny of the ForestKing of Darkenhold.,

TALUS EBONFYRE (SB):
Fearsome unrivalled warrior and demonpossessed champion of the Witch-Queen Zyrashana. Ebonfyre commands the armies of Mytos K'unn with an iron hand, and his ruthless efficiency and sublime brutality make him one of the most feared men in the known world. He led the legions of the WitchQueen into battle against the tribes of Caylen-Tor at Blackhelm Vale.
THA'ZAI-TONN (TPC):
The key Word of Transferrence contained within the Empyreal Lexicon. (see also the Word of Transcendence; X'atham-ry'aa)
THEY WHO LURK AND BREED IN LIMBO (SB):
The terrifying entities who pulsate between dimensions deep within the Outer Darkness.
THIRTEEN CRYPTICAL PROPHECIES (TPC):

TOME OF SHADOWS, THE (SB):
The legendary. cosmic book of unnamable spells which contains the rites to open the vortex leading to the dreaded Black Galaxy. The rites were performed by the Brotherhood of; Dark Elucidation and resulted in the annihilation of all life within Kor-Avul-Thaa. Two volumes of the Tome of Shadows are known to exist, one of which was found beneath the Black Pyramid.
TRAVELLING ONES, THE (SB):
The ancient race of alien voyagers who engaged in a bitter and millennia long war against the Dwellers In Eternal Shadow. The Travelling Ones were able to imprison their foes in the Black Galaxy, but in doing so drained themselves of their cosmic powers, resulting in them entering a state of suspended animation, to reawaken in an unspecified future era.
TURONIUM (SB):
The site of one of the Legion of the Ebon Tiger's greatest military victories.

ULTIMA THULE (SB, BM):
(In myth & legendry, the mystical ultimate ,realm of the northern-most expanses.} The ancient kingdom of the northern world, home to the ice-tribes of the Volmyr and the legendary Ice-Veiled Throne. Ultima Thule is often at war with Hyperborea over border territory disputes.

VORTEX, THE (SB)
:The dimensional portal which can be opened by performing the rites contained within the Tome of Shadows. One such vortex manifested over Kor-Avul-Thaa, with cataclysmic results.
VORYN HELMSMRIER (SB):
A warrior-prince of Ultima Thule who embarks upon a quest to find the legendary Ice-Veiled Throne. He successfully locates the @one and is accepted as the next ruler due to his descent from the bloodline of the fabled High Kings of Ultima Thule. Thwarting the schemes of evil priests who had been manipulating his destiny, Helmsmiter assumes the throne and is imbued with incredible-.cosmic power during a great stellar conjunction, attaining omnipotency as the new God-King of Ultima Thule.
VRAH (SB).
A tribal people conquered by the Imperium.
VYRGOTHIA (SB):
A powerful alliance of kingdoms ruled by the Over-King of Vyrgothia. The alliance is made up of twenty subkingdoms and is the ancestral foe of the Imperium.

WAR OF THE LEXICON, THE (TPC):
A pangalactic war waged by two mysterious cosmic races over the possession of the Empyreal Lexicon, the final battle of which was fought in Earth's solar system.
WATCHER IN STONE, THE (SB):
A seeker of knowledge who climbed the Mountain, of Shadows in a bid to summon the Guardians of the Astral Gate. He successfully invoked the sentinels and opened the Gate, but ultimately paid the price, being transformed into sentient stone to stand atop the Mountain forever more,, insanely brooding on his folly for eternity. He forms part of the circle of stones atop the mountain , which consists of all the other mortals who dared open the Gate and resultantly paid the price of the Guardians.
WAVE-RENDER (SB):
The great ship captained by the Northern Mariner on his voyage to the Isle of Mists.
WELL OF BLACK FLAME, THE (ABM):
An abyssal portal in the floor, of the Black Pyramid which leads to the vaults far below, where dwell the creatures born of failed alien genetic experiments. An energy shield resembling black flames covers the aperture of the well to prevent the escape of the creatures. :
WOLF OF THE NORTH, THE (SB):
A name by which Caylen-Tor is known throughout the northern continent.

An icosahedron of non-human origin found on the Fourth Mars Colony which contained clues to the location of the Empyreal Lexicon.
ZAKUMAKURA (TPC):
The titanic radioactive serpent from whose jaws spews burning plasma, who can only be summoned from his slumber in the ocean depths by the Ritual of Ascendency on the eve of the Ninth Millennium. Also known as the Dragon-King, the onslaught of Zakumakura can only be repulsed by a mortal willing to assume the powers of the serpent-slayer Sentinel Omega.
ZUL'TEKH AZOR VOL-THOTH (SB):
The key phrase of the terrifying incantation which summons the Guardians of the Astral Gate. It is the name of the entity which originally spawned the four Guardians, and drives all those who speak it slowly and inexorably mad.
ZURANTHUS (SB):
One of the cosmic deities of enlightenment worshipped by the Brotherhood of Dark Elucidation.
ZURRA (TPC):
The evil Chaos-Warrior summoned by the sorcerers of ancient Mu to destroy the cults who opposed their ascent to power. Instead, Zurra killed the Children of the Telluric Nexus and utterly annihilated all life on Mu.

Name given to a malevolent spirit of Darkenhold whose progeny and padawan is possessed of incredible ruinous power.
ZYRASHANA, THE WITCH-QUEEN OF MYTOS K'UNN (SB):
The sorceress who usurped the throne of Mytos K'unn and then proceeded to implement her campaign of arcane manipulation and military conquest. She empowers her troops with potent spells and maintains her hold on regal power through the insidious machinations of her dark spellcraft.
